Great Testimonial

I don't know what you do for a living but it's hard to beat being appreciated for your efforts. I mean nothing is more satisfying to me then being appreciated by clients. That being said I want to share this really wonderful little note:

"Thank you Jeff. You are always such a pleasure with which to work. There simply is no substitution for excellence and your picture is next to it in the dictionary. Thanks for making me look so good!!!!

Thank you Cherie for the wonderful note and allowing me to share it with others.

True Confessions

My name is Heather Maier. I am the Design Consultant for the Jeff Lubin Fine Art Portrait Studio and I have a confession to make. I LOVE MY JOB! It's true. I love it so much that I almost feel guilty sometimes. Working for the Lubin Studio is an experience I would not trade for anything.

My job description consists of simply two things:

1) Treating people like friends.

2) Making sure everyone leaves happy with exactly what they want.

How great is that? Every aspect of Jeff Lubin's Studio is infused with the same idea of good will. There is a reason they just celebrated their twenty-sixth year of success in creating fine art portraiture. They have a reputation second to none. Every portrait we create is personal. Our portraits are made with the knowledge that they will become a primary focal point and work of art for the family we create it for. We know that your portrait will last far into the future, passed on to their children and their children's children.

It is a privilege and an honor to create these heirloom pieces that we know will be cherished over many generations. Fine art does not come easily, be being part of the team that genuinely respects and honors the fineness of our fellow human beings, now that is something rarer still. Thank you for the honor of serving you.

The Big 60

Ok, its coming, my 60th birthday. All these years. Lots of stuff entered my head lately, like being nine years old and driving a big old Schwinn brown bike with fat tires and big giant dent in the front fender. I got that flying over some curb and landing on my head where I still have a little souvenir scar . I remember the giant concrete pool in the park with a fountain in the middle. They had boat races using the wind up metal boats. I can't believe how that made my heart race. Many more memory traces as we all have. It seems like a million years ago and only yesterday at the same time. Ok, time to live in the present....isn't that when life really happens???

Change is here

This world doesn't resemble the world I grew up in. In a few days I turn 60, wow, where did it all go? Living in the past really makes little sense because all of life happens in the present, happens now. We have a changing economy, changing government and changing generation. None us will be around for more then two or three generations so you only have to study history to see world and civilizations are always evolving. You really can't stop change anymore then you can stop time, it just happens. I guess that's why nostalgia is always something people gravitate to. It gives you a sense of comfort to fall back into the familiar, the knowable and the safe. So you have to jump into life if you want to live now. You have to choose what you have because that's all really can be sure of.

Being a photographer

Very few things in my life have been as rewarding as being a portrait artist. Anytime you can make a living doing something you love, you are truly blessed.
